When we are open there’s Jazz! Tonight November 9th 7-10pm, La Cour, French Restaurant & Jazz Club, presents Twilight Jazz Quartet with Stacey Riley, Kevin Klemm, Andrew Rose & Dan Quisenberry!
Twilight Jazz Quartet brings musical diversity and an atmosphere of class with a carefully selected song list, including swinging standards, Latin grooves, French chansons, and a mix of pop, rock, and even hip-hop, all played in the vintage jazz style. You won’t want to miss this quartet of stellar Denver musicians, doing what they love most – making music for you!
Stacey Riley is a vocalist, band leader, and vocal instructor from Flint, Michigan. She is the founder and bandleader of Twilight, and also sings back-up vocals in Denver’s own Citizen Dan – a tribute to Steely Dan. Stacey’s voice has been compared to such disparate singers as Dinah Washington and Alison Krauss, resulting in a fan declaring, “She has two voices!” Her passion for music is a journey of discovery she hopes to travel to the end of the road.
Kevin Klemm, a native of Ohio, recently earned his Master’s in Music and Jazz Studies from DU. In addition to playing piano in Twilight, he leads the Kevin Klemm Trio, teaches private lessons in his home studio, and plays various other gigs around town. His tasty licks are matched only by his dedication to his students and bandmates.
Andrew Rose, who hails from Idaho, earned his Master’s in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University, and has since played all over Denver. He is also a private instructor in bass, and he is known for his “big ears,” or his ability to hear everything on the bandstand.
Dan Quisenberry, originally from Illinois, is the newest member of Twilight. After earning his Master’s in Music and Jazz Studies from DU, he just wasn’t satiated, and went on to complete a Graduate Performance Certificate, as well. Dan plays drums for the sheer love of the music, and his tasteful, precise technique is highly sought after, here in Denver.
